These terms apply to your use of PoemGenius (poemgenius.com, "the site"). By using the site you accept them.
PoemGenius provides free, browser-based poem generators for 14 poetry forms (haiku, sonnet, limerick, acrostic, free verse, tanka, villanelle, cinquain, couplets, narrative, concrete, love poems and more), together with guides on how each form works. No account or sign-up is required.
Poems are produced by a template and word-list engine that runs entirely in your browser. You supply a few words; the engine fills out the metre, rhythm and rhymes using its built-in English word lists. No AI model is used, nothing you type is uploaded to us, and the same input can produce a different poem each time because the word selection is randomised. You are free to edit the result — that is what it is for.
You keep all rights in the words you type and in the poems you generate with this site. You may use, print, publish and adapt them, including commercially. You are responsible for ensuring your input does not infringe anyone else's rights or contain unlawful material.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. The site is provided on an "as is" basis, and we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or of any poem it generates.
We will update the date above when these terms change. Continued use of the site means you accept the revised terms.
